January 1 – I didn’t buy a new bedspread and pillow shams for my bed. I wanted to buy extra pillow shams which were only available with a day bed set, so the whole thing was to cost about $250. The bedspread was over-sized, which means for a King size bed, the bedspread actually fits the bed. It was a creamy pattern with horizontal lines of bright color sewn in. The extra pillow shams had diagonal crossing lines of the colors. The day bed cover I didn’t want, might have come in handy in the guest bedroom. I already have a daybed cover and the room is seldom used, so that is hard to justify. Unless, I make something else with it. American Girl bedding? Throw pillows? I would have to make those things by hand because my sewing machine is 54 years old, and probably not up to the task. A new sewing machine can cost anywhere from $50 to $6000, but for heavy duty basic work probably $200 would do, and I did NOT buy one. So, I didn’t buy the bedspread set because then I would have to buy a new sewing machine
